Dr. Victor Cavaller was born in Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain) in 1965. He works as an independent researcher, writer, and artist. As a researcher, he received his Ph.D. in the Information and Documentation in Digital Age Program in the Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Barcelona (Spain) in 2007. Dissertation: “Matrix indicator system for strategic information analysis: application in a practical case”. He also holds a Master in Applied Economic Analysis (IDEC-UPF, Spain), a Degree in Information and Library Sciences (UOC, 2003), and a Degree in Philosophy and Educational Sciences (UB, 1992). He received his accreditation for Research from The Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency AQU in March 2013.
He has been a Visiting Research Fellow at SPRU, Science, and Technology Policy Research at the University of Sussex (2009). His research interests include conceptual taxonomies, scientometrics and informetrics, indicator systems, information systems, data analysis architecture, applied statistics, r+d+i, technology and innovation management, and valuation of intangible assets. He has published several papers in international journals, books, and proceedings regarding these fields.
